Jeff Weninger and Kevin Hartke to Host Community Meet & Greet in Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz. — Chandler mayoral candidate Jeff Weninger and Arizona House candidate Kevin Hartke will host a community meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Phoenix Palace Restaurant in Chandler.

The event is being organized with support from Chandler Councilmember Christine Ellis and Councilmember Jennifer Hawkins, who invited community members to attend and meet the candidates in person.

The gathering will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Phoenix Palace Restaurant, located at 2075 N. Dobson Road in Chandler.

Organizers say the event is open to the public and will provide residents with an opportunity to discuss local issues, economic development, public safety, and the future direction of Chandler and Arizona.

Jeff Weninger, a longtime Arizona public servant and former state legislator, is campaigning for Chandler mayor with a focus on economic growth, business development, and community leadership.

Kevin Hartke, the incumbent two-term mayor of Chandler, is currently running for the Arizona House. Hartke remains one of the East Valley’s best-known local leaders and has maintained strong ties with business groups and community organizations throughout his years in public office.

The event also reflects continued outreach to the Asian American and Chinese American communities in Chandler and the broader East Valley, where civic participation and population growth have expanded significantly in recent years.

Campaign donation information for both candidates was included in the event announcement, although organizers emphasized that the evening’s primary goal is community engagement and open dialogue with local residents.
