Tan Hua Inc. recently hosted its 17th (free)themed tea gathering, featuring Ginseng Oolong Tea and a Lung-Soothing, Skin-Nourishing Herbal Wellness Soup. The event offered guests a comprehensive introduction to the traditional Chinese lifestyle aesthetic that combines tea culture with herbal food therapy, drawing participants with a strong interest in wellness and Chinese tea traditions.
Ginseng Oolong: A Balanced Harmony of Tea and Ginseng
One of the highlights of the event was Tan Hua’s signature Ginseng Oolong Tea. This blend combines the fragrant, lingering sweetness of oolong tea with the gentle, warming character of ginseng. Smooth on the palate and naturally sweet, the tea is neither bitter nor astringent.
According to Ms. Tan, the tea is designed to be mild, non-stimulating, and suitable for everyday drinking, making it ideal after meals or for daily wellness routines. It is also well suited for those new to oolong tea.
During the presentation, Ms. Tan guided attendees through the tea’s appearance, brewing techniques, and flavor profile, emphasizing its qualities of gentle energy without heaviness or irritation, which were well received by guests.

Lung-Soothing Herbal Wellness Soup: From Ingredients to Benefits
Another focal point of the gathering was the Lung-Soothing, Qi-Boosting Herbal Wellness Soup, prepared according to traditional Chinese dietary therapy principles. The soup features a carefully balanced combination of ingredients, including dried tangerine peel, bitter and sweet apricot kernels, lotus seeds, sea coconut, codonopsis root, dried snow pear, polygonatum root, Chinese yam, and goji berries. It is slow-simmered for over three hours.

The soup is intended to support lung comfort, digestion, vitality, and overall balance, with a mild, nourishing flavor suitable for regular wellness use—particularly during dry seasons or seasonal transitions. Guests were able to view the raw ingredients and sample the finished soup, gaining a more tangible understanding of the traditional concept of “food and medicine sharing the same origin.”
A Tea Gathering Focused on Culture and Wellness Awareness
Consistent with previous events, the 17th tea gathering was not a commercial product promotion, but rather a cultural exchange centered on tea arts, dietary therapy, and wellness philosophy. The organizers also reminded attendees that the content shared was based on traditional knowledge and cultural experience and does not constitute medical advice or treatment, encouraging a thoughtful and balanced approach to wellness products.

Several participants noted that the event not only deepened their understanding of Chinese tea and herbal cuisine, but also provided a welcoming space for community interaction, relaxation, and mindfulness.
Continuing the Tradition of Eastern Tea and Food Culture
With the arrival of the New Year, attendance was especially strong. More than 40 guests filled the tea room, representing multiple generations as well as diverse backgrounds, including Chinese, Hispanic, and White community members. Two attendees in their 90s, affectionately known as “Aunt Gail” and “Aunt Louis,” enjoyed the soup and tea with visible delight, contributing to the warm and lively atmosphere.
Many Hispanic and White guests expressed strong interest in the herbal soup ingredients and made on-site purchases, leading to active and engaging exchanges.
