Come to Tan Hua for a cup of Chenpi Tea

On Saturday afternoon, Tan Hua Inc. hosted its fifth tea party. Guests were invited to enjoy complimentary samples of traditional Chinese herbal wellness teas and nourishing soups. This special event also featured two radiant elderly ladies who shared their personal stories of fighting cancer with the help of medicinal soups purchased from Tan Hua.

Debbie, in her 80s, appeared energetic and glowing with health. Her striking white hair added to her graceful presence. She recalled that after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer, she happened upon the newly opened Tan Hua store. She finally found the aged tangerine peel (chenpi) she had been seeking, along with other prized herbs like goji berries and radix hedysari. She quickly bonded with Ms. Tan, and since then, she has faithfully consumed chenpi soup daily to regulate her health and improve her lifestyle. Debbie emphasized, "A good mood is even more important than medicine," and smiled, "I treat every day as a gift."

Another lady in her 80s shared how she remained committed to nourishing her body with soups and herbal teas during chemotherapy, despite physical weakness. She found chenpi pu-erh tea and red date goji tea at Tan Hua, which helped her sleep better and regain her appetite. "To be alive isn't just about curing illness," she said, "it's about living with quality."

The health soup served that day was a sweet mung bean dessert with chenpi, lotus seeds, and lily bulbs. Ms. Tan thoughtfully provided a bilingual guide explaining its health benefits and preparation method. She also brewed chenpi pu-erh tea and bitter leaf tea on the spot for everyone to taste. Many American guests gained a newfound appreciation for chenpi and eagerly purchased multiple bags.

This tea gathering celebrated the richness of traditional Chinese wellness culture and conveyed warmth and courage. Ms. Tan expressed her hope that through such events, more people would understand the benefits of Chinese medicinal teas and draw inspiration from the recovery journeys, empowering them to pursue a healthy life.

If you're free on the weekend, why not drop by Tan Hua's store, hear Ms. Tan's insights on wellness, and enjoy a cup of uniquely flavorful chenpi pu-erh tea?
